On 24th March, 2015, members of the Rotaract club lead by Vice President Ms. Neha Agarwal, went to the office of Dhanbad Municipal Corporation at 4.00 pm, with a request for cleaning of garbage near our college campus.
They met the CEO DMC and requested to make proper arrangements for cleaning of the waste and garbage regularly near the college gate. Also, we requested to place a dustbin, as this was a serious matter of concern and it could cause severe health issues such as dengue, malaria diahorrea and even swine flu. Also, the stinky smell and unhygienic atmosphere was affecting our college activities. After a short discussion over the issue, he promised us that the garbage wouldn’t be seen from the next day. The very next day, the nearby areas were cleaned and the municipality is taking good care of the garbage and hence forth the area is quite hygienic now.
His help and concern over the issue is really appreciative.
