गुरु नानक कॉलेज के राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना इकाई 1 & 2 द्वारा राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस मनाया गया l
आज, दिनांक 12 जनवरी 2021 को विवेकानंद जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में गुरु नानक कॉलेज की एन एस एस इकाई १ और २ द्वारा राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस का आयोजन महाविद्यालय के भूदा कैंपस में किया गया | कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन स्वामी विवेकानंद की तस्वीर पर माल्यार्पण और दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर किया गया, जिसके बाद डॉ मीना मालखंडी ने परिचय बोधन किया |
देश के महान दार्शनिक और विश्व में भारत की ख्याति बढ़ाने वाले स्वामी विवेकानंद को याद करते हुए महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य प्रो. पी शेखर ने छात्र - छात्राओं को स्वामी विवेकानंद के आदर्शों को आत्मसात कर जीवन मे आगे बढ़ने की सलाह दी | कॉलेज के वरिष्ठ शिक्षक डॉ संजय प्रसाद, डॉ संजय सिन्हा समेत प्रो अभिषेक सिन्हा और प्रो सोनू प्रसाद यादव ने विद्यार्थियों के समक्ष कई बहुमूल्य विचार प्रस्तुत किये |
राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस के महत्त्व को सार्थक करने की मंशा के साथ छात्रों के लिए भाषण प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे कुल 13 विद्यार्थियों ने हिस्सा लिया, जिनके नाम हैं - अर्जुन सिंह, रोहित पांडे, मनीषा मिश्रा, आयुष प्रसाद, प्रीति कुमारी, शुभम राज, सायबा ख़ातून, ऋषभ गुप्ता, सोफिया नाज़, ज्योति जयसवाल, प्रियालक्ष्मी श्रीवास्तव, आकाश कुमार और ऋषभ सिंह | निर्णायक मंडली के तौर पर डॉ वर्षा सिंह और प्रो. सोनू प्रसाद यादव ने सहयोग दिया |
कार्यक्रम में महाविद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों ने विभिन्न गीतों की प्रस्तुति दी, जिसमे हितेश श्रीवास्तव, आस्था रंजन, अंकित सिन्हा, अंकित कुमार, रोहन राज, ऋचा कुमारी और प्रियलक्ष्मी श्रीवास्तव ने महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया | मंच संचालन अर्जुन सिंह ने किया और कार्यक्रम के अंत में प्रो दीपक कुमार ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया |
इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय के प्रोफेसर-इन-चार्ज (भूदा कैंपस) डॉ संजय प्रसाद, प्रो. अमरजीत सिंह, प्रो. संजय सिन्हा, प्रो दलजीत सिंह, प्रो. पियूष अग्रवाल, प्रो. अभिषेक सिन्हा, प्रो. चिरंजीत अधिकारी समेत महाविद्यालय के अन्य शिक्षक एवं शिक्षकेत्तर कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे |

The republic Day Ceremony was celebrated with correct protocol. On 26th of January every year, the college also celebrates the annual Founders’ Day. This year also as in the past, the two events were celebrated jointly.
The National tri colour was unfurled at precisely 10.30 a.m. by the President of the college, Sardar R.S. Chahal. National anthem was sung by the students of the Department of the Creativity with correct precision. The national tri colour was saluted, following which the NCC parade of a small contingent of NCC Cadets (30 in number) got inspected.
The inspection was done by The President, The Secretary and the Principal. The entire ceremony was organized with social distancing maintained by all. Even the number of those who were present was kept within the prescribed limit.
As for the celebration of the Annual Founders’ Day, a report was presented by the Principal P. Shekhar before the management of the college regarding the efforts made during the past year. It was emphasized in his speech that the college had been quite active even during corona times, and has been sensitive to the issues of students, teachers and staff.
Online teaching including online internal examinations have been conducted in the college in a systematized and structured manner. The time tables are placed and classes are organized strictly in accordance with that. The number of students which got connected with the online classes has been quite encouraging. Even admission, fee collection and registration etc. have been done online, facilitating the students and the guardians to operate from distance.
Unlike every year, there was no prize distribution ceremony this year. Students who have done well at the examinations will be given away their prizes and certificates some time later when things become absolutely normal. During the last one year, i.e., during Covid Situation no inter college sporting event, cultural event or youth festival was organized by the university so these prizes were not to be given to the students.
Only NCC and NSS remained the active during this difficult time, and it was announced that prizes would be given to them in some function later on. It was announced with a sense of pride that one of our students was selected for being in the Republic Day parade in Delhi.
The Secretary of the college Sardar D.S. Grewal also addressed the gathering and assured all kinds of help to all stakeholders.
The President Sardar R.S. Chahal made an inspiring speech and appreciated work of the college at such difficult times.
The Professor In- Charge of the women’s wing Dr. Ranjana Das proposed a vote of thanks. The program was conducted properly by Dr. Mina Malkhandi, Head Department of Political Science and In-charge of the Function.
Today, on 15th July, 2021, Guru Nanak College Dhanbad and its NSS units 1 & 2 celebrated Vanmahotsav. On this occasion, tree plantation was done in the Bhuda Campus of the college . Honorable Secretary of the college Sardar Diljaun Singh Grewal inaugurated the program by planting saplings. The former Principal of the college, Prof. P. Shekhar was also invited in the program and he too planted saplings. The present Principal of the college, Dr. Sanjay Prasad, planted a tree and addressed to the students and volunteers that for the development of each plant, it should be looked after with responsibility, only then the purpose of plantation will be fulfilled. Many saplings of Amaltas, Kachnar, Neem etc. were planted. According to Covid rules, college teachers, non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers and guests participated in this program.
On this occasion, Dr. Ranjana Das, Prof. Sanjay from the college Sinha Prof. Daljit Singh, Ms. Nushrat Parveen, Mr. Inderdev Singh, Mr. Sarabjit Singh Sardar Satpal Singh Broka, Mr. Ranjit Mishra were mainly present and all the above people planted saplings.
The tree plantation program was completed under the supervision of Prof. Deepak Kumar, NSS Program Officer (1) and Dr. Mina Malkhandi, NSS Program Officer (2).
