Parents Teachers’ meet of the Department of Psychology was organised on 16th February 2020, Sunday in the Department of Vocational Studies of Guru Nanak College, Dhanbad.
Principal P. Shekhar presented the welcome address and appreciated the concern of parents towards the career of their wards. He said in his address that psychology was a subject which is connected with our day to day activities. He highlighted the various job opportunities in psychology both in private and government sectors. But then again, he said that getting employment should not be the solegoal of life, the objective should be overall development and personality building. He gave information about the facilities available in the college. He also stressed that students must take interest and participate in Library, NSS, NCC, Sports and Cultural activities of the college. He explained the importance of regularly attending the classes and its benefits to the students. Parents and students also gave their suggestions and feedback by filling the feedback form.
Dr. Ranjana Das, Prof-In-Charge Girls’ wing and Head Department of History, also furnished information about the activities of the college. Prof. Anuradha Kumari, Prof. Kiran Singh and Prof. Pratima Kumari were busy and engaged in organising the meeting, and they provided relevant and important information to the parents regarding their ward’s academic growth.
