An online seminar i.e., webinar on Goods and Services Tax (GST) was organised by the Department of Commerce, Guru Nanak College, Dhanbad, on 30th May 2020. The students of B.Com semester 6 participated in the Webinar and were benefitted. The presenters of the webinar where Prof. Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Prof. Santosh Kumar, Prof. Daljit Singh, Prof. Piyush Agarwal, Prof. Chiranjit Adhikari and Prof. Snehal Goswami. The topic was discussed in detail and the above teachers presented their views regarding GST in current scenario. The webinar was conducted under the guidance of Principal Guru Nanak College Prof. P. Shekhar and Dr. Gopal Kumar Shandilya, HOD Dept. Of Commerce. The event Compering and technical support was provided by Dr. Varsha Singh. The platform used for the webinar was Google Meet. The students who were present and presented their papers on the topic of GST VAT were Nidhi Neeta, Nagma Alia, Amisha Goyal Anuradha, Anjali Kumari, Sakshi Chaube, Akanksha Agrahari, Swati Kumari, Sheetal Sharma. The event started at 3:30 p.m. in which various provisions, history, tax slabs, supply, input tax credit, composite scheme and other matters of GST and its impact on the Indian economy were discussed.
