REPORT ON PRESENTATION SEMINAR

A one day seminar was organized by Bachelors of Computer Applications, Guru Nanak Collage, Dhanbad on 23. 08. 2019. The seminar was inaugurated at 11:00 am. The seminar was graced by the presence of Prof. P. Shekher, Principal of G. N. Collage, Dr. Ranjana Das, Coordinator of G. N. Collage, Prof. Pushpa Tiwari, Joint- Coordinator of G. N. Collage, Prof. Uday Sinha and Prof. Kalyan Paul. All the students of batch 2017-2020, currently in Semester 4, had participated in presentation seminar. The compeering was done by Nazish Sana, a student of BCA Semester 4.

The first presentation was on the topic, “Software Development Life Cycle”. It was presented by Shivam Kumar, Numan Arbaz Khan, Rehber. It was emphasized that SDLC aims to produce a high-quality software that meets or exceeds customer expectations, reaches completion within times and cost estimates.

Next there was an informative overview on the topic “Network Topology”, by Pratistha Singh, Komal Srivastava, Sneha Suman, Sakshi, Nazish Sana and Anshu Kumari. The audience was made aware that network topology plays a significant role in the functioning of networks. It helps reduce the operational and maintenance costs such as cabling costs. A network topology is a factor in determining the media type to be used to cable a network.

After that a great overview of “Operating System” was given by Soni Kumari, Moni Kumari, Divya Singh and Tushar Rawani. An operating system is the most important software that runs on a computer. It manages the computer's memory and processes, as well as all of its software and hardware. It also allows you to communicate with the computer without knowing how to speak the computer's language.

After that Manish Kumar, Praduman Sharma, Aditya Raj Singh, Saurav Kumar Nonia and Amit Mahato presented an exciting game designed by them referring to the topic, “Game Designing Using Processing”. They highlighted the fact that writing prototypes of game play ideas and features is an important activity that allows programmers and game designers to experiment with different algorithms and usability scenarios for a game.

Again the topic, “Data Mining” was highlighted by Ankita Sharma, Amrendra, Ritik and Sachin. Data mining is a powerful new technology with great potential to help companies focus on the most important information in the data they have collected about the behavior of their customers and potential customers.

Around the time, 01:30 pm, Rishika Kumari, Aakash Kumar, Aman Kumar, Tarun and Santosh provided a splendid insight on the topic, “Science Behind Internet”. By understanding the role of society in shaping Internet networks and being shaped by them Internet science aims to take care of the Internet in a way similar to that in which Web science aims to take care of the Web.

Next was the presentation on the topic, “Network Security Infrastructure” by Aakash Deep, Deepak, Randhir, Aniket and Priyam. Network security is important for home networks as well as in the business world. A solid network security system helps reduce the risk of data loss, theft and sabotage.

Swapnil Sagar, Vikash, Mudassir and Shivajee Kumar continued the discussion through the topic, “Multimedia”. Multimedia plays an important role in today's society because it is society now all are the things is keep up with the times. The multimedia is a good way for communication because that can easy to communicate and understand what they say.

The successful programme ended around 03:00 pm. The seminar was very informative and provided the participants with enormous knowledge on various aspects of computer applications.
